The GovCon Academy Business Incubator program helps organizations find a successful strategy to win federal contracts.

We  Know the Right Process to Win Government Contracts

There are as many ways to sell to the government as there are people making the sales. Each organization needs to put together the pieces that are right for them to develop a successful strategy.

  • Relevant data about what the government buys
  • Understanding who buys what
  • Relationships with government agencies
  • Understanding and leveraging the processes that the government uses to award contracts

Our successful process will make it easier for your federal contract buyer to award to you.

How to Win Federal Contracts

Winning contracts takes research, time, data gathering, and strategic planning. Leave any one of these steps out ruins your chance of success.

We have a process that has been cultivated over decades of working with companies who win contracts.

Create your unique action plan.

So many people say they want to be a government contractor. Great – why? And what does that look like? Who are your clients now? How long have you been in business? How much of your revenue do you want to come from government contracts? Who is on your team? Do you want to be the prime contractor or a subcontractor? Answering these questions sets you up for success.

Sell in the GovCon Arena

Selling to the government is all about sales – and the government tries to make you believe it really isn’t about sales but about competitive bidding.

Huh?

You have to know which sales activity goes with what stage of the acquisition process.

We know the processes that the government follows to buy anything and where you fit into that process. We introduce you to the players that are involved in the contract award process. And, then we explain to you how the role they play governs what they are concerned about and how you can use these concerns to get their attention and allay their concerns.

GovCon Academy Business Incubator graduates understand the who, the why and the how. We teach them to leverage that knowledge to position themselves favorably in the eyes of decision makes BEFORE the competition.

Understand How to Assess the Right Opportunities

We give you the tools to spot the opportunities that are best for your business by analyzing key bits of data concerning your prospective buyer and your competition. We focus on finding opportunities BEFORE the competitive bidding process begins.

Deliver On-Target Messages

We give you the tools to get past the gatekeeper by teaching you the six things you must tell every federal prospect to begin to get their attention. Learn the most common ways to break through the noise to have meaningful conversations. We show you how to deliver messages to your prospects that are centered on their needs and concerns.

Winning Government Contract Strategies

We know how to refine and tailor your strategy to each individual prospect. Your strategy will help you select the best opportunities to focus your efforts on.You will put the pieces of your strategy together so that you can hit the ground running when the RFP/RFQ comes out.

My first encounter with Karla was my attendance in her Proposal writing class in June 2020. I was so impressed with her knowledge and professionalism on the topic, that I asked her to be a mentor on my journey into federal contracting. It has been over a year later and I am still using the tools I learned from the hands-on sessions. For example, our sessions on determining the proper NAICS for my services proved critical in making decisions going forward. We have developed a professional relationship even after our sessions and we follow up frequently to see how each other’s businesses are going. Karla genuinely wants your company to succeed and was critical to the foundation of my company. I highly recommend Karla’s consulting services, as she is always available to assist at any time.

We can’t all know everything about each facet of our business. Surrounding yourself with amazing partners strengthens the services we are able to provide. I have worked with Karla for nearly 10 years, where she has helped our organization tremendously by training, advising, and consulting on the services we provide to the Federal government. I am endlessly impressed by Karla’s ability to have solutions and answers to anything I need to know to effectively work with the Federal government. Which is no small task for any organization. Not only is Karla a wealth of knowledge, she is also willing to provide the training to help us get to solutions self-sufficiently. And, of course Karla is engaging and makes me laugh every time I talk to her. I look forward to speaking with her every time we are able to meet! If anyone is looking for a phenomenal partnership with someone specialized in providing services to the Federal government, Karla gets my highest recommendation.

The program works. Since graduating I have made progress in implementing the things I learned to grow my business.
